Power facilities under attack in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a minor was killed in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, according to regional authorities.

Russian forces has escalated attacks on energy facilities over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the Group of Seven - in providing air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 missiles targeted energy facilities, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to restore power.

A series of attacks hit electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the assaults on the capital have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by local officials.

Authorities told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with assaults already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
